This is the view from the north end of the Mt. Piños parking lot looking SSW. Located at 8,300' elevation and surrounded by relatively little development, Mt. Piños is one of the most popular weekend astronomy sites in southern California, especially in the warmer summer months. My set up is in the foreground (SUV, white refractor, too many bright red lights, etc.).
