While hardly a shower as seen from southern California, the Perseids put on a decent show this year even though my series of exposures captured only 1 bright meteor. (At upper left. The other streaks are stars, except for the brightest one, which is Jupiter.) Toward the bottom was my feeble attempt to write "hello" with a red flashlight during one of the exposures.
