Processing: Image acquisition and DFR in CCDSoft. Levels, curves, unsharp mask in Photoshop. Other Notes: M16 is a 6th magnitude nebula with stars and dust. Quite a bit of detail and nebulosity showed up for being a single 5 minute exposure. Hubble made this object famous with the "Pillars of Creation" images.
